STRICTLY COME DANCING – BBC ONE IDENT
Having been the Creative Director for the launch of Strictly Come Dancing in 2004, before it was famous, it was an honour to go 'full circle' and create this bespoke BBC ONE ident in the grounds of Television Centre. More than just an ident, this 2009 campaign started with a bespoke 'how to' dance video with Karen Hardy posted online.
This routine was spread nationwide with the help of local radio and live events in shopping centres. Members of the public then applied to come to Television Centre for a masterclass and Strictly Come Dancing immersion day culminating in a spectacular night shoot of the dance in the iconic do-nut in W12.
The final ident played out each week ahead of the show on BBC One, with an extended version available online so participants could spot themselves and share with friends.
